“My goal is to lay a solid, trusting foundation with a patient,” Dr. Shepherd said. “I am a supportive physician who will help you achieve the birth you want in a safe environment.”

The doctors at OB/GYN Specialists of Tulsa are all board-certified and they do a lot more than deliver babies.”I like helping them navigate as they mature as a woman, being there for them as they attempt to get pregnant, during pregnancy, taking care of them afterwards and taking care of their kids as patients.”

“I like helping them navigate as they mature as a woman, being there for them as they attempt to get pregnant, during pregnancy, taking care of them afterwards and taking care of their kids as patients.”

“We do everything for regarding women’s health, starting from when they are 13 and have their first gyn visit to delivering babies to dealing with menopause,” Dr. Shepherd said. “We help them take care of themselves with preventative medicine, well-woman exams, deliveries, birth control, tubal ligations, hysterectomies, incontinence, and pelvic floor surgery. Just about everything that might come up in a woman’s life.”

Dr. Shepherd and the physicians at OB/GYN Specialists of Tulsa provide all-encompassing health care for women through all aspects of their lives. She stressed that, unlike many OB/GYNs, she and her colleagues take transfer patients, no matter how far along they are in their pregnancies.

“I like taking care of female patients,” she said. “I like helping them navigate as they mature as a woman, being there for them as they attempt to get pregnant, during pregnancy, taking care of them afterwards and taking care of their kids as patients.”

The joy of childbirth will always be at the heart of Dr. Shepherd’s practice. Her patients’ and their childbirth experiences are a top priority.

“We provide excellent customer service in our office from the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave,” she said. “From the staff, nurses, doctors, you’ll get a personal experience. We get to know you as a person.”

The doctors at OB/GYN Specialists of Tulsa practice at only one hospital, St. John Hospital-Main Campus. Dr. Shepherd also has privileges at Oklahoma Surgical Hospital.

She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma and was named to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She received her doctorate from Oklahoma State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and served an internship and a residency in OB/GYN at the University of Oklahoma.

Her passions, whether personal or professional, all include happy, healthy families with a central focus on Tulsa women’s health care.

“People want an individual experience in regards to their health care and the birth of their children,” Dr. Shepherd said. “They want it to be personal.
